REVIEW: Heartless by Mary Balogh I’ve been in a reading slump lately and decided to try Heartless, Such was the case with Heartless. A couple of years ago I picked up Heartless, the first book I had ever read by Mary Balogh and went into the lost-in-a book zone. I went to work. Heartless, first published in , was a new venture for me. It is a Georgian historical, set during the 18th century, several decades earlier than most of my other.

She had a dark secret in her past and she needed the hero’s help. I love Mary Balogh, she is one of my all-time favorite authors, and in all fairness, almost all my Goodreads friends loved this one. This is a book that could be reread many times and I doubt it would get old. He really pissed me! To make it even creepier, the guy thinks he is heqrtless father. I never felt the hero and heroine truly knew each other or loved each other. And Anna was a cipher. Dos personas que tiene que casarse por diferentes motivos, pero que juntos, encontraran la manera de maey sus fantasmas y vivir felizmente.
But this man makes it look good.

It was still one of the worst books I read in And sometimes he was so blind, stupid and cruel. The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband. He makes mistakes but manages to love her and to help her to heal. He baloth rather ruthless, but at the same time, is a good husband for tormented Anna.

Matter of Class, A. I did jump ahead and read the last chapter or two so I know the resolution. He never felt particularly dangerous or unpredictable. This is so unusual for a book from Mary Baloghbut I couldn’t finish this book. Anna felt foolish for believing that her nightmare past was over. But every heartleas and then I come across a book of hers that I find so over the top, eye-roll inducing dramatic that I just want to reach into the book and slap some sense into the hheartless involved.
Luke and Anna must learn to trust in each other or risk any chance they may have for a happy future. Tras la sorpresa que me ha supuesto este libro, estoy deseando que Titania nos publique el siguiente, porque son solo dos libros, y por suerte el ueartless es la historia de Ashley y Emily.

Two stars because it’s by Mary Balogh and main characters are interesting. The book was written well but just too tough for me. Ten years later, fate has brought him back home to England as head of the family who rejected him. He never felt particularly dangerous or unpredictable.
Although mine’s a little worn now, and I’ve had to place clear plastic ‘contact’ over the lacy bit to protect it. I closed Heartless with a feeling of exhilaration at having found a wonderful new to me author. Her stories are just not for me. Looking for More Great Reads?

Heartless (Georgian, #1) by Mary Balogh (2 star ratings)
He’s a heartlwss dandy. I did read till the end to find out what happened, but I’m relieved to finish it. As if this wasn’t enough, the reason Luke was attracted to Anna was because she was so happy and warm. If that had been written better, I would probably give this book 3 or 4 stars.
But did she do it? She grew up in Wales and now lives with her husband Robert in Saskatchewan, Canada. I feel that those pages could have been better spent explaining how their past has so impeded their futures.

It takes a long time for these characters to get through being superficial with each other. I will definitely read the sequel, Silent Melody.
