Feb 16, Briny rated it it was ok. Cornelia and Genvissa make quite an astonishing discovery about themselves and their history, as do Brutus and Coel. I’m not sure if I’m going to read the fourth book riding I read other reviews of it and it seems to carry on with things that I wasn’t a fan of in this book.

Almost everything I though was the “obvious” way that threads would resolve was reformed into someth I read this entire third book of The Troy Game series thinking that the series was a trilogy, and that this would conclude the story.

Even though this novel fell a bit short of its predecessors, I risijg feel the need to finish the series- I’ll be taking a short break before I read the fourth and final novel.
This was probably my favorite of the Troy Game books as the characters seem to come to a realization of how the past impacts upon both the present and future. Time and again the players have come close to victory but each time there is a new wrinkle to stay the fulfillment of power. Most think they know its history. This interweaving of fact and fiction is as convincing here as it was in her previous Crucible trilogy. So, frankly, why that? Remember how he killed her sons in the first book?
Risinh attended Annesley College, in Wayville, a suburb of Adelaide. The land itself evolves, shaped by human progress, and the timing of each life allows Douglass to incorporate historical fact with fantasy.

Book 3 of the Troy Games disappointed me. Until the mids, Douglass hosted a bulletin board on her website, with the aim of encouraging creative thinking and constructive criticism of others’ work. Just once; someone who could riising turn away from her.
Barry Jenkins’ If Beale Street Could Talk is a near-perfect success both as a grand statement riwing solidarity and as a gorgeously wrought, long-overdue story of black life and black love.
Unfortunately, the first pages did very little to keep my interest. Despite my mild disappointment, I will still read the final book to achieve completion.
